Video game Shapeshifter Nick part 13

Mr Fratley "Mickey" frowned at the egg man shifter John.  "As soon as you clean up this mess then we'll talk about it.  "As for you Nick," Mickey said turning around.  "Thank you."
Nick "Sonic turned and saw his classmates nodding as well as Martha "Jak" Jarvis "Ratchet" and Robert "Sly Cooper." They were happy to help.  Zatch still looked seriously at Nick.  But then he smiled.  Even through his character's control he managed to smile at his friend.  Zatch didn't think that Nick was too bad on him.
"I think it's time to go now it's 6:30 pm." Mr. Drake said pointing at his watch.  

Robert "Sly Cooper" walked with the rest of the class when something dropped from his shirt.  He hurried, picked it up and gave it to Mr. Fratley "Mickey".  "Sorry about that.  I saw it and just had to snag it for a while."

"Oh I understand.  You youngsters can't control the kin within but you will." "Mickey "Fratley said.
Soon the cloud covered up the moon but the class and history teacher were still in their character's form.  Jarvis looked at Martha cautiously.  What could she think of me now?  Would she love me?  So should I tell her that I like her?  All of the thoughts were forming in his head.  He now knew that she was Jak from the precursor legacy trilogy.  If she was older, then she would take the form of him from the third game.  She was 17 and Jarvis was 18.   It was soon that he would leave school.  He'd better hurry up.

At the bus, the classmates and the teacher Mr Drake, drove off and waved goodbye to Mr. Frately "Mickey."
As they rode the bus to the expressway, they spotted some opossums and other animals in armor and jet packs.  Rocket Knights.  As a kid Nick wanted to be one of them, but to do that, he had to be fiction kin.  He was part other kin because of his father.  Though that's all he ever knew of his father's identity.

He was happy in his own world of flying with them when all of a sudden they heard howls.  They got closer from Nick's ears.  Robert and Jarvis looked nervously.  Martha was asleep.  So deep in fact, she heard nothing.  Jak boomed from within her.  "Martha, wake up!". Martha shot up in surprise.  "What?  What's happening?". She said in a groggy tone.  The whole class looked in despair.  Nathan checked outside.  Twenty wolves and pups were running through the streets.  The class were freaked out.

"Other kin.  These are not natural but spiritual wolves.  Calm down."  Mr Drake said turning to them.
"You know, there are no real wolves in Chicago at all.". The bus driver said in-a-matter-of-factly.
"Yeah I know.". Mr. Drake said to the bus driver.
The bus drove into the street where the other kin wolves were.  Nick looked in alarm and confusement.  He never seen other kin creatures before only read about them in books.  Usually about elves, fae and dragons, never wolves.  "I guess there is more to this than I thought.". Nick said quietly in a low voice where nobody could hear them.

They soon passed the wolves and went back to the school.  Nick said goodbye in a groggy voice and left place in his car.  Tomorrow is another day.  He thought to himself.  Wolf other kin... He thought about it as he drove down to his home still in his Sonic form.  The full moon was still around after all.

Rachel and her mother saw Nick drive into the garage and come out as tired as can be.  He didn't mind that his mother had a freaked out look on her face upon seeing his blue hedgehog form.  earlier before she was freaked out by Rachel's Tails the fox form.  She "He" was gold and had goggles, and gloves on.  "What happened?"  Rachel asked as they went into the house and into the living room.  He went to bed shortly after he told her what was wrong.  "My son the super hero...". Nick's mom said in surprise.

"What's wrong mom?". Rachel "Miles Tails" asked.
"Nothing at all.  Want cocoa?"
"Do I ever.". Rachel said.
She soon realized through Nick's talking he mentioned the word "other kin."
Rachel was just proud of her brother and hoped to be like him one day.
